Position Overview:
The firm is looking for a highly motivated Capital Markets Associate with significant experience in distressed credit, bespoke finance transactions, and stressed/distressed credit. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work on sophisticated transactions, including high-profile restructurings, credit agreements, and innovative financing structures, representing both borrowers and lenders.
Key Responsibilities:
Advising clients on distressed credit transactions, bespoke financing arrangements, and stressed/distressed credit scenarios.
Leading drafting and negotiation of complex credit agreements, restructuring documents, and other transaction-related materials.
Handling distressed asset sales, debt restructurings, and workouts, managing all aspects of these deals from inception to closing.
Collaborating with partners and senior attorneys on structuring unique financial transactions, including distressed debt investments and complex restructurings.
Engaging directly with clients, including financial institutions and private equity firms, providing commercially focused legal advice.
Candidate Requirements:
6-8 years of experience in capital markets, with a focus on distressed credit, bespoke finance transactions, and stressed/distressed credit at a top law firm.
Strong academic credentials and admission to the New York Bar.
Proven ability to manage complex transactions, excellent drafting and negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of distressed finance.
A proactive, client-oriented approach, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to manage multiple, high-stakes transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
