Construction Litigation Associate | International Law Firm | City of London Are you a talented Construction Disputes lawyer looking to take the next step in your career? A leading international law firm is seeking an ambitious Associate to join its highly regarded Construction Disputes team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a market-leading team that plays a key role in high-profile construction disputes across the UK. Working within a well-established practice, you will act for major developers, contractors, consultants, and public sector bodies, handling complex disputes across a broad range of construction and infrastructure projects. With a strong pipeline of work and continued growth, this role offers excellent career progression, high-quality work, and the opportunity to develop your expertise alongside leading construction disputes lawyers. As part of this dynamic team, your work will include: - Dispute resolution: handling adjudication, mediation, litigation, and claims under the pre-action protocol for construction and engineering disputes. - Contractual interpretation: advising on key industry-standard contracts such as JCT, NEC, FIDIC, ICE, PPC, and GC Works. - Professional negligence: acting for clients in high-value disputes involving construction professionals. - Risk management & dispute avoidance: advising clients on proactive strategies to mitigate risks before they escalate. - Business development: actively contributing to the team's growth, networking, and helping to expand the firm's client base. - Collaboration: working closely with colleagues across the firm's UK offices, as well as with the London real estate team on key development projects. To be considered for this role, you will need: - 2-5 years' PQE with a focus on contentious construction matters. - Strong experience in adjudication and UK construction disputes (international arbitration experience is a plus). - Excellent knowledge of standard form construction contracts (JCT, NEC, FIDIC, etc.). - A commercial mindset and business development acumen - the ability to build strong relationships and contribute to the firm's success. - A proactive and collaborative approach - excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients alike.
