CONSTRUCTION LITIGATION | SENIOR ASSOCIATE | LONDON A leading City law firm is currently looking to recruit a Senior Associate to join its highly regarded construction litigation team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced construction litigator with a passion for construction disputes to work on high-value and complex matters within a supportive and dynamic environment. The firm regularly advises developers, contractors, and professional consultants, providing expert guidance on contract administration, the management and consequences of change, and complex construction phase contractual amendments and variations. When disputes arise, they focus on delivering pragmatic, commercial solutions while preserving strong client relationships. In cases where disputes cannot be avoided, the firm offers a comprehensive range of dispute resolution services, including adjudication, mediation, and litigation in the Technology and Construction Court. Key Responsibilities: - Advising clients on a broad spectrum of construction disputes, including changes and variations, extension of time and delay claims, claims for loss and/or expense, prolongation and disruption, and payment disputes (including payment and pay less notices). - Providing strategic advice on issues such as termination, suspension, defective design, materials, and/or workmanship. - Handling professional negligence claims. - Offering practical, solution-oriented advice to mitigate and resolve disputes while maintaining commercial relationships. - Representing clients in adjudication, mediation, and other forms of alternative dispute resolution, as well as litigation in the Technology and Construction Court. - Managing complex casework independently, while also collaborating effectively with team members. - Building and maintaining strong client relationships. Candidate Requirements: - 5-8 years' post-qualification experience in construction litigation. - A proven track record in handling a wide range of construction disputes, particularly high-value and complex matters. - Strong ability to manage cases independently while contributing to the team's success. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain client relationships. - A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach to dispute resolution.
