CONSTRUCTION LAWYER - LONDON An excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated Construction Lawyer to join a well-established team at this top tier firm in London. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse mix of contentious and non-contentious construction matters, advising a broad client base across the residential, commercial, and infrastructure sectors. The Construction team works closely with the firm's other departments to provide a comprehensive and commercially focused service, ensuring seamless legal support for clients involved in complex construction projects and disputes. THE ROLE Non-Contentious Work: - Advising developers, contractors, and funders on residential and commercial construction projects - Drafting and negotiating JCT, NEC, and bespoke construction contracts - Advising on collateral warranties, consultant appointments, and performance bonds - Working closely with real estate, corporate, finance, and planning teams to provide integrated legal support Contentious Work: - Advising clients on contractual disputes, professional negligence claims, and payment disputes - Handling adjudications, arbitrations, and litigation in the Technology and Construction Court (TCC) - Resolving disputes through negotiation, mediation, conciliation, and expert determination - Providing strategic risk management advice to help clients avoid costly disputes This role will offer significant client contact and responsibility, allowing you to work on high-value and complex matters while developing your career within a supportive and collaborative team.
