Senior Planning Lawyer An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Planning Lawyer to join a highly regarded Planning team based in London. Recognised as one of the best in the UK, this team advises on some of the most iconic developments across residential, commercial, infrastructure, and environmental sectors. This position offers the chance to work on a wide range of complex mandates, including: - Strategic Planning Advice: Guiding clients through the planning process for large-scale projects. - Development Consent Orders: Leading on nationally significant infrastructure projects. - Compulsory Acquisitions: Advising on and managing CPO processes. - Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA): Reviewing and advising on environmental statements. - Contentious Work: Handling judicial reviews, Lands Chamber proceedings, and public inquiries. - Project Management: Supporting the national real estate practice on cross-disciplinary projects. Key Requirements: - A minimum of 5 years' PQE within a recognized planning team. - Strong knowledge of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990; familiarity with the Planning Act 2008 is desirable. - Experience drafting and negotiating planning and highway agreements. - Proven ability to handle inquiries, examinations, and judicial reviews. - Solid understanding of Environmental Impact Assessments. - Experience supervising and mentoring junior team members.
