Property Litigation Solicitor - Housing Management
A leading national practice is seeking a talented Property Litigation Solicitor to join their Housing Management team in London. Specialising in providing expert legal services to housing associations, local authorities, and co-operative clients across the voluntary, public, and private sectors, this team offers a unique opportunity for those looking to further their career in housing management law.
As an Associate in this Housing Management team, you will take on a varied caseload of complex housing litigation matters. You will work closely with Partners and fellow Lawyers, offering first-class legal and practical advice to clients. For those with an interest in business development, there will be opportunities to grow relationships with existing clients and attract new ones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a diverse litigation caseload, including anti-social behavior (ASB) cases, residential possession claims, civil injunctions, and Housing disrepair disputes.
- Advising on a wide range of housing management issues such as succession disputes, income recovery, sub-letting, safeguarding, and tenancy fraud.
- Providing strategic advice on housing disrepair and Fitness for Human Habitation claims.
- Representing clients in courts and tribunals, including County Court, Court of Appeal, and Property Tribunal hearings.
- Supporting the team's advocacy services and participating in cutting-edge advisory work on tenancy policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate:
- 1-5 years PQE with solid experience in housing management litigation.
- Demonstrate strong technical proficiency and a client-centric approach.
- Have excellent organizational and case management skills.
- Be confident in providing advocacy in hearings and tribunals.
- Show a genuine interest in housing law and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
