Construction Associate - International Law Firm, City of London
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Construction Associate to join a prestigious global law firm in London. This firm is recognised for its innovative approach and deep expertise in supporting ambitious clients across a wide range of industries, including construction, real estate, and infrastructure.
This position offers exposure to both contentious and non-contentious construction matters, advising on high-value and complex projects across the UK and international markets. The work spans a variety of sectors, including commercial development, luxury hotels, high-end residential projects, infrastructure, and energy developments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising on all stages of construction projects, from inception and design through procurement and completion.
- Drafting and negotiating construction contracts, consultant appointments, collateral warranties, and associated agreements.
- Acting for a diverse client base, including developers, contractors, funders, investors, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Advising on contentious matters, including dispute resolution through mediation, adjudication, arbitration, and litigation.
- Collaborating with the real estate, energy, and finance teams on complex, multi-disciplinary transactions.
About You:
- NQ to 3 years' PQE with a strong foundation in construction law, ideally from a reputable firm.
- Experience in both contentious and non-contentious construction matters is preferred but not essential.
- A commercially minded and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to manage relationships with clients and colleagues effectively.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality legal advice in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
