Projects Lawyer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Projects Lawyer to join a highly regarded team in London. The team advises on major infrastructure and regeneration projects across a variety of sectors, including Regeneration, Infrastructure, Transport, Warehousing & Logistics, Education, Healthcare, Clean Energy, Waste & Sustainability, and more. The team has been involved in some of the largest and most complex transactions on the market, advising both public and private sector clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising clients at all stages of the project lifecycle, from inception to completion, and on operational matters.
- Acting for a diverse client base, including local authorities, combined authorities, universities, NHS bodies, equity investors, developers, and contractors.
- Providing legal advice on PFI/PPP contract management, including variations, refinancing, asset management, and project expiry/hand back.
- Handling PFI/PPP secondary market transactions.
- Advising on infrastructure M&A and large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Providing advice on commercial contracts across the infrastructure sector.
- Working on transactions within the renewables and net zero sector, including projects in solar, wind, battery storage, energy from waste, electric vehicles (EV), bioenergy, offshore transmission, and district heating.
Candidate Requirements:
- 4-8 years post-qualification experience (PQE) in projects law, ideally with exposure to infrastructure or major projects.
- Strong understanding of PFI/PPP contracts, infrastructure M&A, and commercial contracts.
- Experience advising on projects in the renewables or net zero sectors is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and client management skills, with the ability to contribute to business development and foster strong client relationships.
