The Opportunity:
A leading London law firm is seeking an experienced Non-Contentious Construction Solicitor to join their market leading Construction team, as a Knowledge Development Lawyer. This is a unique opportunity for an accomplished legal professional to drive knowledge management initiatives, shape the firm's construction practice, and support the legal team with cutting-edge insights and resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage knowledge resources, including drafting, maintaining, and updating standard precedents, templates, and guidance notes for the construction practice.
- Stay ahead of legal and regulatory developments in the construction industry and ensure the team is informed on any relevant changes.
- Deliver training programs, workshops, and seminars for fee earners to enhance technical knowledge and promote best practices.
- Provide expert legal research and technical support to fee earners on complex construction law matters.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a holistic approach to knowledge sharing and legal practice innovation.
- Manage internal knowledge-sharing platforms and databases, ensuring they are updated with the latest legal developments and resources.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Qualified solicitor or barrister with at least 5 years' PQE in non-contentious construction law.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts such as JCT, NEC, FIDIC, and experience with drafting and negotiating construction-related agreements.
- Proven experience in a knowledge management, PSL (Professional Support Lawyer), or similar role is preferred.
- Excellent research, drafting, and communication skills with the ability to convey complex legal information clearly and concisely.
- A proactive approach to developing and implementing knowledge-sharing strategies.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
