An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Planning Associate to join a leading international law firm in the City of London. This role offers the chance to work on a diverse range of planning matters, contributing to some of the most significant and transformative development projects in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising clients on all aspects of planning law, including development control, planning applications, and appeals.
- Assisting in the negotiation and drafting of planning agreements, such as Section 106 agreements and infrastructure agreements.
- Providing legal support on large-scale development projects, regeneration schemes, and infrastructure initiatives.
- Conducting research and preparing advice on planning policy, enforcement, and environmental impact assessments.
- Working closely with clients across the public and private sectors, including developers, local authorities, and housing associations.
Requirements:
- Newly Qualified (NQ) to 3 years PQE in Planning law.
- Solid understanding of planning legislation and procedures, with some experience in drafting planning agreements.
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to provide clear, concise legal advice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team on complex projects.
