Construction Lawyer (4-6 PQE)
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled Construction Lawyer to join a highly regarded law firm based in central London. Known for its work with prestigious clients, this firm has a reputation for providing tailored legal solutions to high-profile organisations and individuals.
The role primarily focuses on non-contentious construction matters, although candidates with some experience in contentious construction work are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in drafting and negotiating contracts and providing strategic legal advice on construction projects. You will be joining a team that works across a range of sectors, including residential, commercial, and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising clients on non-contentious construction matters, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating standard form contracts (such as JCT and NEC) and bespoke agreements.
- Assisting with project development, procurement strategies, and risk management advice.
- Acting for a diverse range of clients, including developers, contractors, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Advising on construction-related aspects of real estate transactions.
- For candidates with contentious experience, involvement in resolving construction disputes, including adjudications, arbitrations, and litigation, will be welcomed.
Requirements:
- 4-6 years of PQE in construction law, with a primary focus on non-contentious work.
- Experience in drafting and negotiating construction contracts and providing legal advice on large-scale projects.
- A solid understanding of UK construction law, with additional exposure to dispute resolution mechanisms being beneficial.
- Strong communication and client management skills, with a commercial mindset.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to manage complex matters effectively.
