Company: Our software / technology client provides a range of SaaS cyber security services that are used by a diverse range of corporate business customers across the globe. Clients include major financial institutions, hospitality companies and technology businesses. Role - In-house Data Protection Solicitor: Operating as part of our clients global in-house legal department, as In-house Data Protection Solicitor you will play a key role in supporting the DPO and head of department with a mix of multi-jurisdictional transactional and privacy management matters. Specific responsibilities and duties of the In-house Data Protection Solicitor will include: * supporting the DPO with the implementation of global data privacy programs; * supporting and advising the commercial legal teams with customer facing SaaS contracts, data and privacy terms, questionnaires (RFP and RFI) and enquiries, and other data related documents and agreements; * providing support in relation to data privacy impact assessments and data subject requests; * drafting and negotiating both customer and vendor DPAs (data processing agreements); * acting as a subject matter expert for matters related to privacy and data protection; * maintaining data privacy policies and notices, building privacy into the new product development process; * supporting with internal and external audits; * and keeping abreast of upcoming privacy laws and regulations, ensuring this information is reflected in company policies and documentation. About you: This hiring manager is seeking a qualified solicitor with at least 5 years' experience of privacy law. Ideally you will have worked with/for organisations operating in a fast-paced global commercial environment, and any existing experience of cloud/SaaS agreements, the technology sector and/or privacy management systems is an advantage.
