Our client is an award winning company responsible for the management, maintenance and operation of essential transport infrastructure and services. The company has extensive operations in Greater Manchester where this role will be based.
Role - In-house Legal Counsel:
Our client seeks to recruit a Commercial Solicitor, or similarly commercially minded lawyer, to join their team as In-house Legal Counsel.
As In-house Legal Counsel you will work closely with the head of department, wider senior management, and cross functional teams to negotiate, draft and review a wide variety of commercial contracts. You will help to provide critical legal support across our clients commercial and procurement operations, ensuring robust contract management and legal compliance, and you will have wider responsibility for legal and regulatory standards, management of claims and disputes, and the continual improvement of contract management and legal processes.
About you:
This role requires a strong knowledge of commercial contract drafting, negotiation and risk management, particularly in commercial and procurement settings. You should possess the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders, offering clear, commercially focused legal advice.
It is anticipated that you will have 1-3 years' PQE experience however individuals with more/less can and will be considered. Existing in-house experience is advantageous but not essential.

This role has an anticipated budget/ salary of circa £55-65,000, dependant on skills, experience and PQE.
