Role - In-house Construction Solicitor / Legal Counsel:
Reporting into an experience senior solicitor, as In-house Construction Solicitor / Legal Counsel, you will provide legal advice and support on varied legal matters across the business.
Specific duties and responsibilities are likely to include: preparing, reviewing and negotiating high-value, complex and bespoke construction and engineering contracts - predominantly NEC3 or FIDIC; working on various bids and tenders; and, handling various other contracts, consultancy agreements, JV agreements and commercial matters as required.
In addition to your construction and contracts duties, as In-house Construction Solicitor / Legal Counsel you will provide advice, support and guidance to management, provide in-house training to stakeholders, contribute to the maintenance of standard terms, assist in export control matters, and assist with general risk management and corporate governance.
About you:
Ideal applicants will have experience in construction and/or projects law, specifically NEC3 and/or FIDIC contracts. You should have worked for a leading national or international law firm, or in-house team.
Previous in-house experience in the Energy/Nuclear or Infrastructure sector, or a strong interest in the energy sector, is highly desirable but not essential.
Working arrangements:
Our client is seeking a solicitor based in Greater Manchester or surrounds however remote and hybrid working arrangements will be considered.
