Professional Indemnity Solicitor A top rated national firm in Manchester is seeking a Professional Indemnity Solicitor to join their top ranked team. The team are looking for a Solicitor to join the Contemporary and Emerging Professions side of their Professional Indemnity business. The team specialise in defending claims against educational institutions at all levels, including both state and independent schools and universities (with clients including many of the most prestigious in the UK). These are typically student claims for financial loss alone brought in contract/tort, but we deal with many discrimination / harassment claims, claims involving psychiatric harm, public law claims brought by way of judicial review and commercial claims. The team also act for representative and regulatory bodies (such as the trade union UNISON and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), as well as public and charitable organisations (such as local authorities, religious organisations, charities and clubs & associations). The candidate As a Professional Indemnity Solicitor in this team, you would: - Ideally you will be a 1-5 PQE solicitor with equivalent experience in Professional Indemnity. - You will have managed your own caseload - Applications will be considered from NQs with a seat in Professional Indemnity. - Solid academics and experience ideally gained in a national or regional commercial firm. - A strong team based approach to working.
