Head of Litigation

Head of Litigation We have a role for an experienced Lawyer to join a thriving and growing law firm team in North West. This long standing firm are looking to expand their offerings further and create a Litigation division to provide services in the Housing Disrepair and/or Financial Misselling area. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Lawyer with a strong network looking to establish and grow a litigation department. JOB ROLE: - To open and head a litigation department - Bring in the work through BD/connections in the market - Build and run a caseload of files initially whilst building in readiness to hire and add to the team in time once established - To manage performance of the Litigation Department - To comply with all relevant professional and regulatory obligations - To contribute to the growth and development of the firm - To supervise other members of staff as required - To manage set and oversee targets through the use of MI, one to ones, annual reviews. - To manage the incoming work, sources of work, business relationships - To implement and continue to improve process flows within the case management system to improve efficiencies - To train staff both on the system and on the technical nature of Housing disrepair claims and/or Financial Misselling files REQUIREMENTS - Qualified solicitor - Experience in Housing Disrepair AND/OR Financial Misselling - Supervisory/management - Strong billing history - Established network of contacts to be able to bring in and generate work ON OFFER - Competitive salary - Hybrid/remote working options - Path to Partnership BCL Legal is an equal opportunities employer.
