Commercial IP Associate | 2+ PQE | Leading UK Law Firm | Birmingham BCL Legal is delighted to be working with a highly respected national law firm in their search for a talented Commercial IP Associate to join their thriving Commercial Group. This exciting role offers the opportunity to work with globally recognised brands across advertising, media, and brand-focused matters. With a minimum of 2 years' PQE, this is a brilliant opportunity for a commercially-minded lawyer seeking high-calibre work in a supportive, forward-thinking team. The Role As a Commercial IP Associate, you will: · Work with household-name clients in the tech, fashion, sportswear, and automotive sectors, including brands listed in the Interbrand Top 20. · Advise on a broad range of commercial and IP matters including IP transactions, licensing, brand/content acquisitions, and marketing agreements. · Provide commercial support on issues such as parallel trade, competition law, and sponsorship deals in the sports and entertainment sector. · Draft and negotiate complex commercial contracts and advise on the IP aspects of wider transactions. · Collaborate across the firm's UK offices using modern tech solutions to deliver excellent client service. About You To be successful in this role, you will: · Be a qualified solicitor with at least 2 years' PQE, ideally gained in commercial and IP law. · Have a strong technical grounding in commercial contract drafting and IP-related transactions. · Demonstrate an interest in advertising, brand strategy, and media law. · Be commercially astute with excellent communication and client-facing skills. · Show ambition and a collaborative mindset with a desire to grow within a supportive, people-focused culture.
