Employment Solicitor | NQ-3 PQE | National Law Firm | Birmingham | Flexible/Hybrid Working BCL Legal is delighted to be working with this leading national law firm to recruit an Associate for their highly regarded Employment team in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Employment Solicitor to join a top 100 UK law firm, offering flexible hybrid working and the chance to work on a variety of high-quality contentious and non-contentious employment matters. The Role As an Associate in this employment team, you will: · Manage a mixed caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment matters. · Act almost exclusively for Respondent clients across various sectors. · Advise on a range of employment issues, including: o Employee relations (disciplinaries, grievances, and capability processes). o Redundancy and restructuring, including TUPE advice. o Drafting contracts, policies, and procedures. o Employment Tribunal case management, including drafting pleadings and witness statements. o Equality obligations and settlement negotiations. · Collaborate with partners on more complex matters and support business development initiatives. The Candidate The ideal candidate will: · Be a qualified Employment Solicitor with 0-3 years' PQE (March '25 NQs will be considered). · Have experience managing a broad range of employment law matters, both contentious and non-contentious. · Be commercially aware, with strong analytical, communication, and client relationship skills. · Demonstrate enthusiasm for business development and a collaborative team ethos. · Advocacy experience is desirable but not essential.
