Real Estate Solicitor - Residential Development (1-7 PQE) | Top National Firm | Birmingham BCL Legal is delighted to be working with a leading national law firm with a standout reputation in the residential development sector. Following significant growth and major panel wins with national housebuilders, the firm is seeking a Real Estate Solicitor (circa 1-7 years' PQE) to join their expanding Housebuilding & Land team in Birmingham. The Role: You'll be joining one of the largest and most respected residential development teams in the UK, with access to high-quality work and blue-chip clients. Supported by specialist planning, construction, environmental, and tax teams, this role offers unrivalled exposure across the residential development spectrum. You will: · Act for leading housebuilders, developers, promoters, housing associations, and landowners · Work on a mix of conditional/unconditional contracts, options, golden-brick and affordable housing transactions, overage, easements, and infrastructure agreements · Gain exposure to complex strategic land matters including promotion and collaboration agreements, land pooling, building licences, and institutional investment transactions · Handle your own caseload and contribute to large-scale strategic projects The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for a Real Estate solicitor who has a genuine interest in residential development and is keen to take their career to the next level. Ideally, you will have: · Between 1 and 7 years of PQE with experience in residential development work · A background acting for housebuilders, promoters, local authorities or housing associations · Familiarity with strategic land, affordable housing, and development-related infrastructure work · A commercially minded and client-focused approach · A collaborative, proactive attitude and strong communication skills Why Join?
