Employment Senior Associate Solicitor | 5+ PQE | Leading National Law Firm| Birmingham BCL Legal is delighted to assist a national law firm with its recruitment of a Senior Associate in Employment Law, based in Birmingham. This exciting opportunity offers a varied and dynamic caseload within a growing team. The position is full-time, with flexible working arrangements available, including hybrid working options. The Role: As a Senior Associate within the Employment team, you will: - Advise and support private sector clients, including multinational companies and SMEs, on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters. - Prepare for Employment Tribunal cases, including drafting Claim/Response, Witness Statements, Skeleton Arguments, and other relevant tribunal documentation. - Provide advocacy in Employment Tribunals, including Case Management and Preliminary Hearings. - Draft and advise on contracts, policies, and procedures across a range of employment issues. - Handle matters such as disciplinary investigations, grievance procedures, redundancy programmes, flexible working queries, and more. - Support corporate transactions with TUPE advice, indemnities, warranties, and due diligence reports. - Contribute to marketing initiatives, assist with seminars, and prepare Employment Bulletins to support the department's business development. About You: To be considered for this role, you will have: - Strong experience in contentious and non-contentious employment law. - Experience of running matters independently, with some supervision, as well as managing and mentoring junior lawyers. - A practical, commercial approach with the ability to communicate advice clearly to clients. - Strong academic background and commercial awareness. - Enthusiasm for attending marketing and networking events, with an interest in business development.
