Privacy & Data Associate Solicitor | 1+ PQE | National Law Firm | Birmingham/hybrid BCL Legal is assisting a leading national law firm in its search for a Privacy & Data Associate to join its prestigious Privacy and Data team in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity to work within one of the largest and most respected teams in the UK, focusing on high-profile and complex data protection and cybersecurity matters. The Role As a Privacy & Data Associate, you will: - Work as part of a 20-strong team, including 5 partners, handling a diverse range of data protection and cybersecurity matters. - Engage in complex, high-profile work including global breach response, data protection audits, compliance programs, and cybersecurity advisory. - Gain exposure to a range of sectors, with a particular focus on technology and financial services. - Develop your business development skills while building and managing relationships with clients across the firm's international roster. - Have the opportunity to contribute to the team's continued success and progression towards partnership. About You To be considered for this role, you will have: - At least 1 year of post-qualification experience in data protection, privacy, or cybersecurity law. - A keen interest in sectors such as technology and financial services, and a desire to work across various data-driven industries. - Strong experience in GDPR, data protection compliance, data breaches, and cross-border issues would be advantageous. - A collaborative, team-oriented approach and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
