BCL Legal is assisting a leading national law firm in its search for a Privacy & Data Associate to join its prestigious Privacy and Data team in Birmingham. The Role
As a Privacy & Data Associate, you will:
- Work as part of a 20-strong team, including 5 partners, handling a diverse range of data protection and cybersecurity matters.
- Engage in complex, high-profile work including global breach response, data protection audits, compliance programs, and cybersecurity advisory.
- Gain exposure to a range of sectors, with a particular focus on technology and financial services.
- Develop your business development skills while building and managing relationships with clients across the firm's international roster.
- Have the opportunity to contribute to the team's continued success and progression towards partnership.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- At least 1 year of post-qualification experience in data protection, privacy, or cybersecurity law.
- A keen interest in sectors such as technology and financial services, and a desire to work across various data-driven industries.
- Strong experience in GDPR, data protection compliance, data breaches, and cross-border issues would be advantageous.
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
