Knowledge & Innovation Lawyer | 6+ PQE | Birmingham or Leeds (with high levels of hybrid working) This is an exciting opportunity for a Knowledge & Innovation Lawyer (or otherwise a fee earner looking to move into this exciting area from practice) to join a highly regarded national firm that is committed to growth and innovation. The firm is looking for a talented individual to support its Commercial & Infrastructure team in the development and delivery of knowledge-based products, as well as enhancing internal efficiencies through the use of new technologies and processes. This role offers the opportunity to work in a progressive environment with a strong focus on knowledge sharing and legal innovation. The role can be offered on a full-time or part-time (0.6 or 0.8 FTE) basis, with flexible and remote working options. The Role: As a Knowledge & Innovation Lawyer, you will: · Collaborate with the Knowledge Director and senior team members to drive innovation within the Commercial & Infrastructure department. · Lead and deliver knowledge management initiatives and projects, including those focused on digital change and technology adoption. · Work closely with key stakeholders to enhance client engagement by developing new legal products and portals. · Partner with the Knowledge Director to provide the right digital tools for lawyers, including HighQ, Definely, and AI-based technologies. · Engage in horizon scanning and help identify emerging trends and areas that matter to clients. · Contribute to the development of training programs and resources, as well as assisting with risk management through the provision of knowledge-based materials. · Play a key role in helping the firm maintain its competitive edge by improving internal efficiencies and promoting knowledge-sharing activities. The Candidate: The ideal Knowledge & Innovation Lawyer will have: · 6+ PQE with significant experience in commercial transactions within the Commercial & Infrastructure sectors (such as Energy, Technology, Construction, Corporate, and Banking) whether from private practice or in-house. · A strong interest in legal technology and the future of legal services. · Experience in driving legal innovation and the ability to use technology, processes, and knowledge resources to transform the delivery of legal services. · A collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the business. · A commercially oriented approach with excellent business acumen and the ability to influence key stakeholders. · Familiarity with knowledge management tools such as Practical Law, Lexis PSL, and other legal technology platforms. · An interest in business development, client engagement, and the development of new products and services.
