BCL Legal is delighted to be working with a leading commercial law firm with a strong reputation across sectors such as housing, local government, health and social care, construction, energy, education, and financial services. Our client is looking for a talented Property Litigation Associate/Senior Associate with 5+ years' PQE to join its growing team based in Birmingham or Leeds. The Role
As a Property Litigation Associate/Senior Associate, you will:
- Advise a wide range of public and private sector clients, including central Government bodies, registered providers of social housing, local authorities, secured lenders, NHS bodies, higher education institutions, property developers, and management companies.
- Handle property litigation cases in UK courts and tribunals, as well as provide wider contentious property advice.
- Work on high-profile and landmark cases, including in the First-tier and Upper Tribunals and up to the Court of Appeal level.
- Advise clients on emerging areas of law such as the Building Safety Act 2022 and residential leasehold management (e.g., forfeiture, service charges, and section 20 consultation).
- Collaborate with a supportive, national team, working across the Birmingham, Bristol, London and Leeds offices.
- Play an active role in business development and support the growth of the firm's property litigation practice.
About You
To be considered for this position, you will need:
- 5+ years' PQE in property litigation, with strong technical credentials and experience in managing a varied caseload.
- Excellent drafting, legal analysis, and client management skills.
- A proactive and professional approach to work, with a keen interest in business development.
- A collaborative attitude and experience working within a team-oriented environment.
- Confidence in managing client relationships and contributing to the firm's growth.
