Real Estate - Asset Management - Energy | Senior Associate | International Law Firm | Birmingham | Hybrid Working BCL Legal is delighted to assist in this exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Associate to join a highly regarded Asset Management team. This role offers the chance to work on high-profile, complex transactions, focusing on the acquisition, development, and disposal of real estate assets, particularly in the energy sector. The team is well-established, offering a dynamic and collaborative environment where you will be able to make a significant impact. The Role: As a Senior Associate within this real estate team, you will: * Advise clients on a broad range of real estate matters, including the acquisition, development, and disposal of property in the energy sector, as well as landlord and tenant issues. * Lead transactions from start to finish, providing commercial and pragmatic advice to clients. * Manage due diligence processes, including reporting on complex property titles (both registered and unregistered). * Support clients on land acquisition for development purposes and commercial property transactions. * Work closely with senior colleagues, including partners and legal directors, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, timely advice. * Supervise and mentor junior team members, helping them develop professionally and ensuring the successful completion of transactions. * Maintain and build strong relationships with sophisticated clients, managing commercial risk and demonstrating a deep understanding of their business needs. Candidate Requirements: The ideal candidate will have: * At least 6 years PQE in a recognised real estate team, with a focus on transactions in the energy sector. * Proven experience leading complex real estate transactions and making commercial decisions for clients. * Strong experience in advising clients on the acquisition, development, and disposal of substantial real estate assets. * A sound understanding of land law, including experience with registered and unregistered property titles. * Excellent client relationship management skills, with a keen interest in understanding client businesses and driving business development. * Experience in supervising junior associates and assisting in team management. * A proactive approach to compliance, billing, and collections as part of overall transaction management.
