Real Estate (Public Sector) - Senior Associate | International Law Firm | Birmingham | Hybrid Working BCL Legal is excited to be assisting with an excellent opportunity for a Senior Associate to join a leading team in the real estate sector. This position is based in Birmingham and offers the chance to work on high-quality, large-scale projects for national and local government bodies, as well as public-private partnerships. The role will provide exposure to a broad range of real estate, development, regeneration, and infrastructure matters, with the added benefit of working alongside a supportive and experienced team. The Role: As a Senior Associate within the Public Sector Real Estate team, you will: * Gain exposure to a wide variety of high-profile, large-scale development, regeneration, and infrastructure projects, advising public sector clients and public-private partnerships. * Work closely with colleagues across the firm to deliver a full suite of legal services, including real estate, planning and compulsory purchase, grant funding, subsidy control, commercial, and construction advice. * Act as a key advisor on complex public sector projects, including development schemes and regeneration initiatives, contributing to strategic decision-making and project delivery. * Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering timely and high-quality legal services that meet clients' needs and expectations. * Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-focused environment, taking on increasing responsibility and mentoring junior team members. Candidate Requirements: The ideal candidate will have: * Significant experience in large-scale real estate regeneration, development, or infrastructure projects, either from the public or private sector. Public sector experience is highly desirable. * A strong understanding of the legal and regulatory aspects of public sector projects, including grant funding, planning, and compulsory purchase. * A proactive, ambitious approach, with the ability to manage complex projects and contribute to the team's success. * Experience in building and nurturing client relationships, with the ability to work effectively in a client-facing role. * The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performing environment, with strong organisational and communication skills.
