This is an exciting opportunity for either an experienced senior associate or legal director with a strong appetite for partnership, or an established partner with a commercial practice that can complement the firm's existing work. The Role As a Commercial Partner, you will: · Be part of a dynamic team renowned for the strength of its national commercial practice. · Collaborate closely with a large corporate team, providing significant opportunities to grow the internal client base. · Leverage your expertise in general commercial law, as well as any specialisms such as franchising, intellectual property, life sciences, medical device regulation, patent licensing, sports law, outsourcing and supply chain, or non-cash payments, to enhance the team's capabilities. · Play a key role in generating new work and driving the strategic direction of the commercial practice in the Birmingham office. About You To be successful in your application for this Commercial Partner vacancy, you will have: · A proven track record as a Commercial Partner or aspiring partner, with a strong emphasis on business development and an established network of contacts. · Extensive experience as a general commercial lawyer or within particular sectors/specialisms, with a demonstrated ability to win new business and develop client relationships. · A portable client following or a robust network of contacts to leverage for business growth. · A level of self-sufficiency; the firm seeks someone who can operate independently while contributing to the team's growth. · A personable and engaging demeanor, capable of integrating with a diverse client base and adapting to the varied referral work that may arise from the broader business (e.g., corporate support, consultancies, football clubs). · Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills to foster relationships within the firm and across different practice areas.
