With a robust real estate practice, the firm is looking to enhance its small planning team by appointing an energetic and motivated Planning Partner. This role offers an excellent opportunity to leverage existing client relationships and further develop the practice, driving new revenue streams. The Opportunity: As a Planning Partner, you will work alongside accomplished partners with diverse clientele and strong market profiles, all while promoting a vibrant, entrepreneurial environment. In this role, you will: · Lead the planning function in Birmingham while significantly influencing the office's growth and strategic direction. · Manage an existing team and advise on a broad spectrum of planning and highways law, including: o Negotiating planning and highways works agreements o Providing compulsory purchase order advice o Addressing agricultural occupancy conditions o Navigating legal challenges to development, such as public rights of way, village greens, and asset of community value applications o Challenging unlawful planning decisions and defending against enforcement actions when necessary The Ideal Candidate: We seek a Planning Partner with a strong network and a successful work-winning history.
