Real Estate Disputes Associate - 1-3 PQE - International law firm - Birmingham BCL Legal is delighted to be working with a highly regarded international law firm is seeking a highly skilled Property Litigation Senior Associate with 1-3 years' PQE to join its team in Birmingham. This is a prime opportunity for an experienced solicitor to play a pivotal role in managing high-profile cases, mentoring junior associates, and contributing to the firm's continued success. Key Responsibilities: - Support senior fee earners and partners on a complex and varied caseload of property litigation matters, including high-value landlord and tenant disputes, development conflicts, property-related contractual issues, and rights of light cases. - Further work available in specialist areas including insolvency, professional negligence and building defects claims. - Provide strategic and commercially focused legal advice to a diverse range of clients, including institutional investors, private equity houses, corporate occupiers, commercial landlords, developers, and real estate investors. - Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, expert reports, and settlement agreements. - Conduct thorough legal research and develop robust case strategies to effectively resolve disputes. - Advocate for clients in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and other dispute resolution forums. Required Qualifications and Skills: - Qualified solicitor with 1-3 years' PQE in property litigation. - Extensive experience managing a broad spectrum of property litigation matters, with a proven track record of successful outcomes. - Experience of the Building Safety Act and/or Electronic Communications Code would be desirable but not essential. - Good drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships. - Exceptional organisational skills. - A proactive, solution-oriented approach, with a commitment to delivering exceptional client service. - Ability to manage client relationships and get involved in networking activities.
