Employment Solicitor - 0-2 PQE - Leading International Law Firm - Birmingham BCL Legal is pleased to be assisting a top-ranked international law firm in its recruitment of a junior Associate to join its Employment Team in Birmingham. The Role As an Employment Solicitor in this team, you will: · Predominantly provide legal advice and guidance to a large national union and its members. · Advise on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters, regulatory, and pension issues for union members. · Manage and represent clients in Employment Tribunal and civil court claims. · Conduct advocacy at some preliminary employment tribunal hearings. · Draft and review pleadings, submissions, and legal documents. · Provide day-to-day legal advice and training to clients. · Attend networking and marketing events. About You To be successful in your application for this Employment Solicitor vacancy, you will have: · 0-2 years' PQE with a strong emphasis on employment law, including claimant work. · Experience supporting on a caseload of employment tribunal claims. · A pragmatic, research-based approach with excellent communication and written skills. · Outstanding client care and strong organisational skills. · The ability to work independently and as part of a team. · Understanding of and experience with the Civil Procedure Rules. · Experience in regulatory and pension work (not essential). · Some business development experience.
