Knowledge Development Lawyer - Real Estate - Leading International Firm - Birmingham BCL Legal is pleased to be working on behalf of a leading international law firm to find a Knowledge Development Lawyer for their Real Estate Group. This esteemed law firm boasts real estate lawyers across the globe, including Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific, and the US. The firm's international quality strategy is driven by Knowledge Professionals, working in close collaboration with Knowledge Partners and legal teams, tailored to meet the needs of each Group and Sector. The Role Our client is seeking a seasoned lawyer based in England to join the Real Estate Knowledge team as a Knowledge Development Lawyer. Reporting to the Head of Knowledge for the Real Estate Group, you will work closely with the established Knowledge team, partners, and fee earners in the UK, supporting the international practice. This can be full-time (including flexible working arrangements) or four days per week. Occasional travel may be required and hybrid working (50/50) as standard. Key Responsibilities Document Management: Lead the development, updating, and maintenance of the real estate group's standard documents and technical legal/practical know-how guidance for England and Wales. Evaluate document necessity and ensure updates reflect current laws and practices. Automation: Collaborate with the automation team to automate standard document suites where appropriate. International Support: Utilise standard documents and guidance to support the international real estate practice. Training Programmes: Assist in coordinating comprehensive training programmes, preparing and updating training materials, delivering training sessions, and supporting partners and lawyers in training delivery. Knowledge Sharing: Promote the sharing of expertise, market trends, and practical experiences, developing best practices. Legal Updates: Keep lawyers informed of legal and market developments, providing impact analysis on significant changes affecting the Real Estate Group's business and clients. Process Improvement: Collaborate with the Legal Service Delivery team to enhance transactional processes and the adoption of appropriate tools and technology. Client-Facing Initiatives: Work with the Marketing and Business Development team to provide legal input into client-facing initiatives and tools. About You Experience: Experienced real estate lawyer with excellent academic credentials and a minimum of six years' PQE. Skills: Exceptional drafting, research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Highly organised with strong project coordination abilities. Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding ability to connect, influence, and collaborate in a multicultural environment. Knowledge Development: Experience in developing knowledge resources and delivering training is advantageous but not essential.
