Commercial Litigation Associate | 3PQE+ | National Law Firm | Birmingham BCL Legal is delighted to assist our client, a market-leading law firm, in recruiting a Commercial Litigation Associate to join their thriving team in Birmingham. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Commercial Solicitor with a minimum of three years' post-qualification experience (with no upper limit) to engage in high-quality work for a diverse range of clients. The Role: The successful candidate will primarily advise public sector clients across various sectors, including healthcare, local government, emergency services, and social housing. This role will involve leading complex commercial disputes, which may include PFI, projects and infrastructure disputes, procurement law disputes, intellectual property disputes, competition investigations, and construction disputes. While experience in all these areas is not required, familiarity with some will be beneficial. Key Responsibilities: * Take responsibility for handling High Court litigation and all forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution. * Lead complex commercial disputes, collaborating closely with clients to understand their business needs. * Participate in business development activities, fostering strong client relationships. The Ideal Candidate: * Ideally comes from a large regional or national firm or has experience in an in-house role, preferably within the healthcare sector (public or private). * Possesses a creative, ambitious, and commercially-minded approach. * While knowledge of the UK healthcare or public sector markets is advantageous, it is not essential and can be taught.
