Real Estate Senior Associate | Social Housing Team | 8+ PQE | Market Leading Law Firm | Birmingham About the Role BCL Legal is currently seeking an experienced Real Estate Lawyer to join the Social Housing team at a market-leading law firm. We are acting on behalf of a prestigious firm with a large and expanding client base of Registered Providers. This role is ideal for a 8+ years PQE lawyer with extensive residential development experience, particularly in handling complex transactions for Registered Providers. You will be expected to hit the ground running, dealing with the acquisition of development sites, package deals, and S.106 units, including both turnkey and golden brick arrangements. The Social Housing team is one of the largest in the firm, with a strong presence acting for clients nationally. About the Candidate We are looking for a Real Estate lawyer with: Experience: A proven track record of acting for Registered Providers and/or house builders, developers, landowners, and local authorities contracting with Registered Providers. Client Relationships: Strong client relationship skills and a keen interest in business development. Transactional Skills: Ability to work independently on routine transactions such as conditional and unconditional contracts, options, golden-brick and other affordable housing transactions, back-to-back sales, deeds of easement, infrastructure agreements, overages, etc. Affordable Housing Expertise: A deep understanding of affordable housing transactions and how they integrate with plot sales and charging to lenders.
