Contentious Construction Solicitor (Senior Associate or Legal Director level) - Leading national firm - Birmingham City Centre. Flexible/hybrid working available. This is an excellent role for an experienced Contentious Construction Solicitor to join a team of highly regarded construction specialists in Birmingham. This firm has a great culture, high levels of staff retention and they offer highly competitive salaries. Given the requirements of the firm and current structure of the team, this appointment will be at the Senior Associate or Legal Director level. Excellent progression opportunity! The Firm and The Team - Highly regarded national firm with a strong mid-tier construction team. - Varied client base to include funders, employers, contractors, sub-contractors and consultants. - The team work on a range of projects within a variety of sectors to include education, sports, residential and leisure. - Work will often be high profile and will include mediations, adjudications, arbitration/litigation and all forms of ADR. - You will gain fantastic experience, on a national and international scale. The Role - The team handles a mixture of contentious and non-contentious construction matters however the immediate need is on the contentious construction side of the team. Those wishing to manage a varied caseload can be accommodated. - A key aspect of the role is to help develop client relationships thereby helping to grow the team and also to help support junior team members. - This role offers the opportunity to progress to partnership in the longer term. The Candidate - Qualified Construction Solicitor in England and Wales or other commonwealth jurisdiction. - At least eight years' PQE with a focus on construction disputes. - Strong commitment to client care and able to work well in a team. - Able to supervise, train and mentor junior lawyers. - Able to network and build client relationships as well as deriving value from existing client relationships within the firm.
