In-House Legal Counsel

A very rare opportunity has arisen for a commercial lawyer to join a sporting organisation in Liverpool. Reporting to the Head of Legal, the successful candidate will have the chance to work on a wide variety of matters including: - Commercial partnerships; - Procurement; - Hospitality sales, ticketing and major events; - Retail; - Capital projects and construction contracts; - Planning, licensing and regulatory matters; and - Real estate management matters. You: - Strong academic background with at least an upper second-class degree from a reputable university; - Great training with a top tier private practice or large in-house organisation; - Extensive experience of drafting and negotiating commercial contracts (including bespoke and complex contracts) is essential, this role is likely to best suit a lawyer with 4-6 years PQE; and - Strong working knowledge of consumer law and IP; This is likely to be a very popular role so we can only submit individuals who meet the above criteria and who see the attraction of all facets of the role - not just a connection to sport!
