Debt Recovery / Commercial Litigation Solicitor

This role is a rare opportunity for a Debt Recovery / Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join a large business services company as its dedicated in-house litigation counsel. The position is based in Manchester with hybrid working. Role - In-house Debt Recovery / Commercial Litigation Solicitor (Legal Counsel) Reporting into the Head of Legal, and working as part of an established legal function, as the company's specialist Debt Recovery / Commercial Litigation Solicitor / Legal Counsel, you will support the Legal and Credit teams by providing pro-active legal support, advice and assistance on a range of B2B matters. This role comes with a high degree of autonomy for matters related to credit control and debt recovery, and you will work across the whole claims process from pre-action to issuing claims, responding to defences, enforcement of collection, appointing debt collection agencies, issuing winding up petitions, and dealing with litigation etc. Specific work and duties will include: breach of contract debt claims; non-debt related litigation such as misselling, PPI and other commercial litigation; issuing claims, dealing with defences and any resulting litigation and enforcement; handling insolvency proceedings and other insolvency related matters; and liaising with adminstrators, external solicitors and debt collection agencies. In addition to your duties dealing with credit control and litigation, should you wish to, there is scope to gain experience in wider in-house commercial legal matters, and to gain further insight and experience across the business. About you: Our client seeks to recruit a circa NQ-4 years' PQE qualified solicitor with experience in commercial litigation and debt recovery. You should be confident managing debt recovery cases and have a strong understanding of legal procedures related to debt recovery. You'll be confident drafting legal documents, including letters before claim, defences, witness statements, winding up petitions and any other related court or insolvency documents. What's on offer?
